My plan is to paddle from south Miami through the intracoastal waterway to return to Richmond, Va. A total of 1,238 miles or so; and I hope to do it in one go. However, I am a realist and understand I may not do it in 2 months. On the Saturday prior to Palm Sunday (April 1) I will call for a break, celebrate Easter and then return afterwards. I will let you know how things go as the trip progresses. Below is a Google Earth screenshot of the planned trip. In it you might notice two breaks around North/South Carolina border. I know my limitations and know that those two breaks have ferries I can use to get on and off Ocracoke Island. Some may say cheating I say smart/safe. I will start my trip on Jan 29 in the interim I will try and blog some but no promises until the 29th. Wish me luck.
