I am now 2nd day into my trip. Left Melbourne Beach around 8 yesterday, traveled 16 miles against the wind but made it to my goal destination. Nothing to note about yesterday other than the wind, and my right hand is in pain.
Today however was much better. Little wind in the morning, fading to no wind. 17 miles today, and my right wrist is very sore from yesterday. On a positive note I did see at least 6 pods of dolphins, 6 or more manatee and a rosy spoon bill. Good day for wildlife. When I arrived at the campground I met a gentleman (Tyler) who gave me a snapper. Thanks to him I had a nice dinner.
I also heard the sonic booms from the launch at Cape Kennedy today. I wasn’t paying attention or I might have gotten a glimpse. Oh well.
Tomorrow will be a rest day (I let my training lapse and I feel it). Maybe I can get my wrist back to normal size and feeling. That is all for now. Have a great eveving talk with y’all soon.

Doug it sounds like the best of times for you. Glad you can do this. You work hard at making this happen. I don’t suppose it makes perfect sense to say this but the sentiment works- “Fair winds and following seas”.
