Muses – Facts and stuff
I am going to start this post off explaining what this trip meant – the why if you will. I like to trek and I feel very comfortable in fresh water. I wanted a challenge so I looked at the ICW. Of course a salt water trip added the challenge of, the corrosiveness of salt…

I don’t want to fight or sit out the weather
I finally got to the internet and got to post all my pictures, and that took hours of work. I can’t imagine how the youtubers can do this. It was fun reliving the time spent; I met many new people and made new friends. I hope you get over and see those shots (click on…

Contrasting days work
Wednesday was a beautiful day, with 10mph head wind, and the tide against me at the end of the day. So no 20 miles that I had hoped. I did get 15 by paddling (and resting 3 times) for 7.5 hours. It was tough and I was exhausted. The scenery is really nice, nice homes…

Short Paddle
Today was a windy day but clear and warm. I made a reservation at Gambel Rogers state park in Flagler (6 miles away) in case the wind was too bad. I got to the park with some work but planned to continue on. However Mark and his wife Betty asked me to lunch, so I…

Reaquaintance

ON the water again! Whoot! Whoot!
So Thursday at 1:33am SpaceX had a launch. I’ll post the video when I am near power and possibly WiFi. Anyway, I was up, the group had dispersed and there was NO wind. I packed up, dilligently not quickly and got on the water @ 5am. It was a 21 mile day. A light head…

Update and New Page: My Gear
So I am still at Manatee Hammock campground in Titusville Florida. Sunday was a wet rainy (Rainy day Sundays always get me down) morning and then again in the early evening. Apparently there was a bad twister(?) in the Jacksonville area and we felt some of the effects. I weathered the storm (mainly dry) and got up…

Rest day #2
Today was a banner day. Started with hash and eggs for breakfast and then off to meet a new friend. Luke had left a message on my kayak about meeting, however I missed him last night and so we connected this morning. He was wondering if I would be around long as he has a…

The first rest day
Today is a beautiful day. Walked to Publix and got some groceries and more Naproxen Sodium for my wrist, it feels better but still hurts when carrying or putting much weight on it. It is still swollen, red and hard to the touch. So I am extending my rest through tomorrow. Hopefully that will allow me to be okay…
