Good Morning
It currently is a bright sunny warm day, breezy (10-15 mph gusts to 30) day. It is a rest day for me @ Tomoka State park. I flew in here yesterday, having an 8 mph tail wind and tide in my favor, averaging 4 mph paddling. I reached nearly 5 mph at one point. Anyway…

ON the water again! Whoot! Whoot!
So Thursday at 1:33am SpaceX had a launch. I’ll post the video when I am near power and possibly WiFi. Anyway, I was up, the group had dispersed and there was NO wind. I packed up, dilligently not quickly and got on the water @ 5am. It was a 21 mile day. A light head…

Life at the campground
Another windy day today 30 plus mph, so I am still grounded. I thought I would show you some pics of the campground, and its visitors. First some of the friends that pass through: Here is a pic of another camper I thought was cool: You can get more of his story on Facebook; lookup Milk Truck…

Update and New Page: My Gear

The first rest day

It is still swollen, red and hard to the touch. So I am extending my rest through tomorrow. Hopefully that will allow me to be okay…

Good evening all
I am now 2nd day into my trip. Left Melbourne Beach around 8 yesterday, traveled 16 miles against the wind but made it to my goal destination. Nothing to note about yesterday other than the wind, and my right hand is in pain. Today however was much better. Little wind in the morning, fading to…

One more try
So, if at first you don’t succeed …. I am going to give it a second go at completing my quest. After watching Mark Ervin’s YouTube channel (see a the 4/14/23 post about him), purchasing and repairing a longer Kayak, and doing my lessons learned of my first attempt; I decided to give it another go. As…
