Day 8 Rain

So I woke to a light shower and packed up to head into town and church service. Made it to the 8:30 service a little wet (closer to drowned); after service went to Dollar general and Fresh market to get a breakfast and lunch. I am now sitting in a dry library and will stay here as long as they will allow. Peg has started her return trip to Richmond so my last chance to bail easily has just been signed off on. Hopefully the wind and rain will subside tonight and I can get underway tomorrow. Talk with y’all soon.

  1. Doug, I’ve said it and I say it again, your steadfast “can-do” attitude and maybe more your faith are an inspiration. My prayers for your safety and for people seeing your trip as one more way of showing God and so many how much creation is meant to inspire us all. Fair winds and following seas my brother.

  4. Boss, Alas it does rain outside on occasion…. I know you have experience and fortitude for managing through those rainy days in life. Hope the rain pass and you have fair winds to help you along in the new day. Safe travels to you and the Peg!
