So we started out from our last mooring at Redding round 9ish. Skys were clear and it was crisp but not cold. Winds last night were gale force (at least it sounded like that). Today the winds were light with occassional gusts.

The canal is narrow and from here to the mooring in Linlithgow it was winding. For a change we had to pass some boaters today. The kayaker was not a problem, the 2 other canal boats were easy as well. Today we saw more of what I expected in Scotland; cows, sheep and football (soccer) games. We also saw some ducks, crows, pigeons, a rat and a Great Blue heron.

We had a great dinner at “The Four Mary’s” resturant. Named for the 4 ladies in waiting for Mary Queen of Scotts. We will be going to her castle tomorrow. Today we just went through an open market, ate lunch near the loch (lake) near the castle, and just walked Linlithgow downtown.
