Day 4 – Traveling Sept. 7th

Today was mainly a travel day to Ratho. The weather was cloudy for the majority of the day and it rained in the afternoon. Then as expected as we tried to dock, the rain was the worst, and thus the male occupants got wet.

It is hard to get good pictures that actually show the gorgeous countryside here. There is allot of trees and brush alongside the canal which confuses my camera’s focus. I was captain in the morning so fiddling with a camera wasn’t an option. When we stopped for a lunch break Bruce took the helm but the side cover got denser.

Believe me though, this countryside is just breathtaking. We saw more farm land and farm livestock today. We skipped one location due to the rain but we will catch it on the return. Dinner was at the Bridge Inn, and that was a delight. The restaurant was Michelin rated in 2019, I believe it could still be that. There is a marina here in Ratho, giving us both showers and laundry, just in time.

Well I am entering this on the 8th and we need to be on our way so more info later and of course see the Scotland 2026 Gallery.
