Today it is up early and get started, we have an appointment at the Falkirk Wheel we don’t want to miss. The day is just wonderful, blue skies and the water is a mirror. This what I love about being on the water, great weather and still waters.

Getting hung on the cill is a real danger, here we had lock attendants that help assure our safety. Catching the cill will damage the boat but has also caused some injuries in the past.

I took us through the locks, second tunnel and into the wheel, so I don’t have shots of the tunnel #2.

Look on Google for the meaning of the Kelpies. They were pretty interesting to see.

After visiting the Kelpies, we rested, packed and tried to eat what we had onboard.

Monday morning 14/09/26 (that is to confuse you; because this is how you read it in Europe DD/MM/YY) and turnover is at 9:30 AM. They came by filled our tank and we checked out and turned over the boat. They fill the tank – refund you if you didn’t use all of your deposit and of course charge you if you go over.

Off to Edinburgh airport where Bruce and Linda went to a hotel (their flight was on the 15th) and Peg and I flew to Dublin Ireland. It was a fantastic trip and Bruce is now looking into a similar vacation in France. Hopefully that will come about.

Peg and I had an uneventful flight, arriving in the rain. We found our way to our AirBnB using a taxi. The driver was helpful in suggesting where to go starting tomorrow. The AirBnB room was TIGHT! Almost as tight as the boat, with some new amenities. The queen size bed was the main feature in the BnB, a small dresser and a small table in between the kitchen counter and the foot of the bed. Peg and I touched each time we passed each other. Oh well it is just a place to spend each night, not a place we intend to live in. But I imagine there are folks here where this is there living space. We will make the best of it. Hope all is well back home, so keep following as Peg and I will continue blogging, God Bless.
